World’s Toughest Rodeo

Saturday night I decided to put on my boots and a plaid shirt and headed down to see the World’s Toughest Rodeo at the Excel Energy Center in St. Paul.  I was fortunate to have a press pass and get close to the action with the riders on bulls and broncos. It was hard to believe how long eight seconds can be with these giant animals trying to launch the riders off their backs.   Even more incredible is the effort they make scrambling not to get stepped on.  I have to admit there are plenty of sports that take courage and agility, but nothing tops these men and women who compete in these rodeo events.  Amazing!      World’s Toughest Rodeo

  1. Excellent action shots Mike! Great facial expressions on both the fans and riders! In regards to that second shot…….who knew Pee Wee Herman could ride that well? I could see Cowboy Curtis maybe!
